Psychotherapist · Dublin
What's on your mind?
Ever catch yourself thinking, “Why do I keep doing this?” I think that’s a good place to start.
I’m Andrew Fitzpatrick, a psychotherapist based in Dublin. In my talks, therapy groups and writing, I get curious about the things we do to get through the day: what they do for us, when they get in our way, and what else we might try.

About me
I'm a psychotherapist in Dublin. I work with autistic people, people with ADHD, and couples. Sometimes those areas overlap. I'm autistic and have ADHD myself, and that's part of what brought me to this work.
I left school at 13. I was being bullied, and neither my autism nor my ADHD had been recognised. I didn't have the words to explain why school felt so hard, or the support that might have helped me stay. For years, I thought education just wasn't for me.
I worked as a glazier, a mechanic and a builder before going back to education as an adult. I studied social science, then counselling and psychotherapy, and eventually psychoanalysis at Trinity. The 13-year-old me would have had a good laugh at that last bit.
